Inner compass - follow your body's messages
Annika Möller-Nilsson & Ronja Tammenpää
Each of us has an inner compass that tells us which direction we should go and what feels right in the moment. Sometimes, the signals from this compass are faint, and we make choices that are in conflict with our deepest selves. This creates inner friction that drains our energy.
Have you ever found yourself in a situation where your body is screaming “I don’t want to!” or “I can’t!” but you keep pushing forward because “I have to,” “I don’t dare to say no,” “I chose this myself,” or some similar reasoning is driving your actions? The result is often a feeling of exhaustion or discouragement.
In this workshop, we practice listening to our inner compass by reflecting on questions such as:
What does it feel like in my body when a “yes” is a genuine Yes, and not just a politely disguised No?
What does it feel like to say No when the real answer is No?
Where is your comfort zone: in Yes or in No? Do you often say Yes even though you don’t really want to or don’t have the energy? Or do you tend to say No because a Yes would feel too bold or frightening?
The workshop includes both theories of social sustainability and practical exercises, loosely based on the Possibility Management methodology.
Duration: 1.5 hours
Participant limit: 20 people
